John Nolan, Principal of Nolan Properties Group, oversees the firm’s strategic direction and management. He is actively involved in identifying investment opportunities, structuring transactions, and executing development plans. Prior to founding Nolan Properties Group in 2007, John spent 21 years as a managing partner of the Nolan Group where he led real estate development efforts across the company’s East Coast region. John began his career in banking in New York City. Outside of work, in addition to coaching his four kids’ various athletic teams, he participates on a variety of boards and committees of schools, non-profits, community organizations, and business organizations.
Scott Johnson is the Assistant Regional Manager for Nolan Properties Group Boston area. He is responsible for retail and self-storage operations management as well as staff training and operational analysis . Prior to joining Nolan Properties Group, Scott managed both residential and commercial real estate portfolios and has extensive experience in hotel management working for brands such as Marriott, Millennium and Taj Hotels and Resorts. Scott holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Scott’s hotel management skills and experiences brings a fresh approach to operations management.
Amy Koski provides administrative support to the executive management team at Nolan Properties Group. She also acts as the firm’s IT liaison and ensures staff compliance with internal management protocols. Prior to joining Nolan Properties Group, Amy spent over 25 years in the legal industry. She brings to Nolan a wealth of knowledge, strategic approach, and flexibility from her years working directly with senior management and company executives to achieve a high level of success in coordinating the flow of business across many aspects of the legal field from paralegal to managing IT team member. She attended the University of Oregon and is a Certified E-Discovery Specialist.
Andrea joined the Nolan Properties Group team in April of 2022 and brings more than 21 years of experience in commercial property management. As a Senior Operations Manager, Andrea is responsible for the oversight of a retail and office portfolio located in the Twin Cities.
Prior to joining Nolan Properties Group, Andrea managed portfolios including industrial, retail and office property for CSM Corporation, Colliers International and Schafer Richardson. Andrea is known for her dedication to customer service, extensive building knowledge, acute attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills.
Andrea graduated from the University of St. Thomas in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate and a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and Business Communication. In addition, Andrea is a licensed real estate professional in the State of Minnesota and holds an RPA (Real Property Administrator) designation from BOMI International.
Melanie Burns helps drive the marketing for Nolan Properties Group’s portfolio of commercial properties located in Minnesota and Massachusetts. She has worked with the Nolan family of companies in marketing and operations roles since 2007. Melanie received her Bachelors of Science in Marketing from Metropolitan State University.
Danette Hill is the Director of Leasing and Shared Services for Nolan Properties Group. She leads office and retail leasing efforts, oversees accounting and human resources, and supports the firm’s strategic direction and growth. Prior to her current position, Danette served as Director of Operations at Nolan Properties Group and its predecessor company Charles D. Nolan & Sons. In this role Danette managed the company’s portfolio of office, retail, mixed-use and self-storage facilities in the Midwest and Northeast. She was responsible for asset management and supported the company’s construction and development projects. She holds a Bachelors and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Bethel University.
Sarah Williams has been the accounting manager for Nolan Properties Group since 2009. She is responsible for overseeing accounting, human resources, and payroll processes. Her previous experience includes ten years as a staff accountant for Centex Homes, specializing in construction and development. Sarah earned her Associates degree through Normandale Community College, as well as an accounting degree through Hennepin Technical College
Kathryn Kirschbaum is the Property Finance Manager for Nolan Properties Group and has been with the company since her internship in 2012. She is responsible for the financial operations of the company’s storage and retail properties. She also provides support for accounting, marketing, and property management. Kathryn holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance, Investment and Banking, as well as Management and Human Resources from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Brian Averbeck, Director of Operations for Nolan Properties Group. He oversees the day-to-day operational functions, assists with internal training and development, and manages construction projects for tenant improvements, property renovations and expansions. Brian also works closely with the leasing and acquisition teams to support the analytical and strategic decision making functions. Brian has over 25 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. He started his real estate career at CSM Corporation in the role of Senior Director of Commercial Properties, where he provided oversight for; asset management, property management, an in-house maintenance team, as well as construction and architecture services. Brian received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Metropolitan State University.
Callie Hall is a Senior Property and Leasing Associate at Nolan Properties Group. She helps with performance, property management and leasing of company retail and office assets across the portfolio. Callie holds a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Business with an emphasis in Finance and Marketing. She joined Nolan Properties Group upon graduation in 2019.
Kevin Green, Senior Associate: Acquisitions and Leasing for Nolan Properties Group. Kevin is responsible for identifying and analyzing investment opportunities for Nolan Properties Group, primarily focused on the Massachusetts and California markets. He works closely with the acquisitions team to evaluate high barrier of entry markets and opportunities that align with the company’s strategic growth strategy. Kevin has over 5 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, in both investment sales and leasing. He started his real estate career in Southern California at Centennial Advisors, as an Investment Advisor, and most recently, prior to joining Nolan Properties Group at the start of 2021, spent over 2 years as a retail leasing agent for Avison Young in Boston. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in History from Trinity College in Hartford, CT.
Steve Petrovski is the Boston area Regional Manager. He is responsible for retail and self-storage operations management, staff hiring and training, and ensuring outstanding customer service. Steve rejoined Nolan Properties Group after a fifteen year absence where he gained vast experiences managing large retail properties. Additional skill sets include hotel management and teaching college courses in hospitality and tourism. Steve is passionate about maintaining safe and accessible properties that deliver a professional environment for both employees and customers. Steve’s commitment to customer service is a valued addition to our team.
